Coffee Stained Teeth Be Gone

Coffee is one of life’s essentials.  Most of us wake up looking forward to that first cup of coffee to jump start the day, then maybe another mid morning, sometimes an espresso after lunch but same cherished caffeinated cup of wonder also taints our money maker (smile) with a little brown hue. White teeth are essential, so don't let your love of coffee ruin that.  How to keep your pearlies white while still staying caffeinated? Pearly Wipes

How Does Coffee Stain Teeth?

Although the enamel of your teeth is the hardest substance in the human body, it is not flat and smooth. Your tooth enamel contains microscopic pits and ridges that can hold particles of food and drink. “The more you drink [coffee] and don’t do anything to remove it, the stain goes deeper and deeper,” says Denise Estafan, DDS, an associate professor at the New York University College of Dentistry. This is called an intrinsic stain, and it’s a lot harder to clean.

Pigments from dark-colored drinks such as coffee, tea, and wine can become embedded in those cracks and ridges which leads permanent, yellowing stains on your teeth.

How to Remove Coffee Stains from Teeth?

Obviously giving up coffee is not an option.  The best way to reduce coffee stains is to remove them before they set.  The longer coffee and any staining beverages are allowed to sit on your enamel, the worse the stains will be.  After finishing your coffee, simply use Pearly Wipes.  “Pearly Wipes contain baking soda to effectively remove surface stains and neutralize acid that can corrode enamel, calcium to help strengthen the teeth and rebuild damaged enamel and glycerin to prevent further staining by invisibly coating the teeth. Salt, a natural cleanser and antiseptic, is added to the formula to remove stains and fight germs, as well as hydrogen peroxide to gently whiten the teeth and kill bacteria. Pearly Wipes include peppermint oil to freshen breath, clean the mouth and keep teeth and gums germ-free.” Dr. Jeffrey Rappaport. He is an active member of the American and New York State Dental Associations.
