Orange Peel (garnish)
These ingredients make up a classic cocktail that was first mixed in Florence, Italy. Today there are many variations of this drink. Some use soda water instead of gin, some use prosecco, some even use tequila.
This week is about so much more than just a cocktail though. Launched in 2013, Negroni week is a partnership with Campari and Imbibe Magazine where they work with bars and restaurants to mix classic Negronis and variations for a great cause, donating a portion of their sales to a charity of their choice. In its first year, there were 100 participating business, and has since grown to 6,000 venues around the world. Collectively, they have raised nearly $900,000 for charitable causes.
